Mid-Winter News
(February 15)
Greetings, and I hope that 2012 is off to a good start for you!
We recently got 3 feet of snow at the studio, and we still have
winter cold, so it's a great time to put in those long days in the
studio. Besides, I have a vast supply of reference material from a
trip Ellen and I took to France in October (see above painting). I
have been painting exuberantly from this large group of photos I
took, and have completed over 40 paintings since the beginning of
the year.
My first big event of 2012 will be a solo show at Susan Calloway
Fine Arts in Washington DC. My new series of French scenes will
feature largely in this show. If you are anywhere near DC please do
visit the show - it will be up from March 24 - April 21, and I will
